" I have been taking mat classes at Pilates Bodies for the past three months and it has improved my posture, neck tension, and the way I workout in general. Not too mention my abs look better than ever! Rachel makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. She and the other instructors provide excellent guidance for all levels."Christina Baldwin
" Pilates Bodies was my first experience with Pilates, and I loved it from the beginning! Rachel does a great job of helping beginners get in the groove easily. Now I can't live without it! Especially recommend the barre class if you are looking to sculpt your muscles."Ginny Sirera
" Rachel has a wonderful program in place at Pilates Bodies that I would recommend to all ages and levels. I have always been an active person and I wanted to do something that not only made me more toned through the exercise, but also reduced some of the stress and tension I was feeling and this did the trick. She is also a great teacher and personality to be around!!"Elise Lagarde
"I am a 72 year client who started at Pilates Bodies in July of 2010. Being someone who never liked exercise, I decided to try pilates because I heard it was a great form of stretching and toning. After a few months I started to notice that not only were my clothes fitting better, but my stomach was flatter and firmer. Another great motivator is that my arms are toning up and I am becoming stronger. I look forward to my twice a week sessions with Shannon and love that Pilates Bodies offers small intimate classes, catering to only 4 or 5. The option to choose an all womens class also makes me feel confident and uninhibitated to learn and really embrace the time I am there."Mary Rose Franceski
" Due to many years of injuries and abuse from dancing pointe, I decided to have corrective foot surgery for a very cumbersome bunion. Unfortunately things did not go as planned and three surgeries later I was still having the pain and discomfort that I was having prior to the surgeries. After two months of aggressive physical therapy and still finding that every walking step was painful, I decided to try Pilates. Pilates was the turning point in my "foot saga"! Rachel's knowledge and ability to modify my workout with various modalities was exactly what my foot needed. Within 1 1/2 months and MANY stretches later I was able to walk without pain. Pilates has been a blessing, I only wish I had been directed to this type of workout earlier in my post-operative phase.
I am happy to say that I can now walk and even wear all those "sassy" shoes without pain only due to the wonderful encouragement of Rachel and the fabulous Pilates workouts. Thank You Rachel!"Joan deLaureal
"I had a baby about 11 months ago. I’m in my late 30’s and this was my 3rd child. With both the first two pregnancies, it took me about 2 years to get the baby weight off, no matter what diet and/or exercise program I tried. Except that I didn’t try Pilates. Also, after this baby, I got the “back/side fat” with the roll at the waist and the hanging over the bra line that I didn’t have with the other two. I thought with my age and the third pregnancy that it would take forever to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, if ever. I have been going to Pilates with Rachel about twice a week for the last 4 months and I’ve lost about 15 pounds and almost 2 pant sizes and the “back/side fat” is disappearing. It’s not hanging over my bra anymore and I no longer have the “waist roll” while just standing. I love my Pilates classes. I’m now a Pilates addict, for lack of a better word. I’m more flexible; I have more energy; and my husband loves it too."

"I completed my first duathlon (run/bike/run) this year. And....truth be told, I didn't train for the bike portion. I've been riding a bike since I was a child -- how hard could it be?? I borrowed a road bike from a dear friend & struggled through the 20 mile trek. First & foremost, where did the banana seats go?!? Tough doesn't describe it -- there is so much core work involved. I could hear Rachel's voice "headlights forward", "shoulders in your back pockets", and "keep your wrists strong". I could not have finished the race without my Pilates training -- it gave me the strength & conditioning to allow me to push through. Pilates has given me so much more than running could ever provide: flexibility, upper body strength, and the fantastic relationships with great women at the Pilates Bodies studio. Rach, I'm a client forever. Thank you, thank you."

" I am in the gym 4-5 days during the work week doing cardio and weight training, attending Pilates on Saturdays. Pilates is the perfect way to cap my weekly fitness regime providing core work and a great stretch for my muscles. Of course, the results of a longer, leaner and more feminine look are added benefits.
I have been with Pilates Bodies for about two years and have attended all of the classes. I can attest each class provides a great challenging workout, but my two most favorite classes are the Cardio and Bar Fusion with Rachel and Caroline. As a life-long exerciser, these are two of the best classes I have ever attended combining stretching, toning, cardio and ballet – a perfect combination for a woman’s physique.
Prior to joining Pilates Bodies, I had attended Pilates classes at other places so I had the benefit of working with different instructors. I know excellent instructors when I see them and Rachel and Caroline are just that. Their cueing and analogies are easy to follow and their workouts challenging and varied. I also like the way both work the room and provide attention to all and the studio is an absolutely beautiful environment to work out in. I look forward to my weekly Saturday morning class and try to squeeze in others as my schedule allows. One final note - I really like the way Rachel runs her business, particularly the flexibility in always trying to accommodate her clientele."Michelle Nuss
"I have always loved fitness. I was a personal trainer for 5 years. I taught spin and kickboxing. I also did the Iron Woman 1998 in Tampa Bay Florida. Somewhere, along the way I lost my focus. I started weight watchers. I was not doing well at it as far as losing weight. I added my gym routine, and then I read Jenny Creels testimony in a Gilsbar newsletter of how Pilates has changed her life. That her husband even noticed the changes in her body. Thumbs up right!?! So I tried two classes and fell in love with it.
Then I had a come to Jesus conversation with Rachel. She said all this work you are doing and you still are not seeing weight loss. You need to pray, meditate, change your workout routine and prepare some meals/healthy snacks. So that is what I did. I turn up my prayer and devotional time. I got up at 5 am to pray and read, 6am I went to the gym or walked, then I would work out a second time the same day either Pilates or the gym again. I started seeing results. I was finally eating right. Well my blood test came up again in June. My fasting cholesterol went down from 246 in December 2011 to 156 in June 2011. The bad cholesterol is down to 82 and the triglycerides are down to 82. My good cholesterol increased from 50 to 58. Also, I am down to 11 lbs. I feel and look good in my jeans and I feel comfortable in my bathing suit.I know with the help of God, my family, Rachel and Caroline at Pilates Bodies, I can meet and exceed my goals."Cerenna Timphony
